Head of Brewing

Tiny Rebel Brewery

We are looking for an experienced Brewer to oversee our Brewing production. You will report to the Head of Operations and will optimize and create the highest quality products.

Responsibilities include;

  • Control and management of all brewing processes, focusing in-line with the continual improvement program

  • Ensuring the quality of the working environment, from EHS to hygiene standards as well as conforming to the compliance aspects of HACCP, SALSA, ISO 9001 & BRC

  • Help set out production targets and meet demand plans using KPIs and troubleshooting problems

  • Set out Brewhouse production plan

  • Manage and train our talented and developing brew team, and set clear goals and team focus

  • Understand system utilization and throughput models

  • Be responsible for data collection, record keeping and understanding analysis

  • Lead projects in the Brewhouse

  • Communicate and implement cross department aspects and interests

  • Set out and understand all aspects of brewing scientific and organoleptic assessments

  • Increase throughput and maximize potential

  • Develop and assist the quality management of the brewing department


Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to a degree level of brewing, MSC/IBD DipBrew, Food Science or Chemical Engineering or relevant level of experience

  • Minimum 5 years brewing experience

  • Experience in developing a wide variety of styles and profiles
  • Proven and demonstrable experience of process management, both automated and manual

  • HACCP understanding and implementation

  • Confidence supervising and managing a team

  • Strong understanding of data entry and process control system

  • Experience in manufacturing several beer styles across pack types

  • Flexible and an excellent problem solver

  • Passionate for brewing as well as brand ambassador
