Tiny Rebel will be soon entering into its 10th year of operation in 2022, a whole decade of brewing! Starting off as two inexperienced homebrewers, to winning Champion Beer of Britain and becoming bar operators.

The Role;

With Tiny Rebel continuing to grow and looking towards the future, we are on the look out for a new maintenance engineer

The Role will be based at our brewery production facility in Rogerstone, Newport.
As our maintenance engineer, you will be expected to strive for continuous improvement, develop positive maintenance schedules, Provide direct assistance to colleagues with the goal of improving production & Foster a work culture that values constant improvement and productivity





A qualified electrical or mechanical engineer, you’ll be comfortable using structured maintenance development techniques and experience of process and high-speed packaging equipment to deliver outstanding levels of reliability at optimum cost. The role would suit a naturally inquisitive individual who strives in sharing best practice and is not afraid to challenge the status quo. Your can-do attitude and enthusiasm will be warmly welcomed, and your problem-solving skills will be put to good use. Must have a positive outlook with a continuous improvement mindset, and solid experience of modern planned maintenance techniques.

Duties & Responsibilities


Good time management
Resource planning - Labour / Materials
Maintenance planning - Labour / Production / Materials
Spare parts management and critical spare evaluation
Accountable for Monthly / Annual Stocktake of spare parts
Implementing & Managing maintenance request system & reporting performance
PPM planning development and scheduling
Issuing permits to work
Driving performance of brewing & packaging lines
Provide additional support for breakdown trouble shooting
KPI reporting
Reviewing SOP’s / SMP’s
Reviewing Risk Assessments
Accountable for the performance and availability of site Utilities
Driving continuous improvement
Developing and maintaining best practise across the brewery
Share your passion and optimism, inspirer respect and trust and provide vision and inspiration to your peers and team members
Supporting the Chief Production Director & Operations Manager in all relevant subjects relating to the Maintenance and Engineering Department

Work Experience


5+ years experience in a maintenance role 
Stock management systems
Engineering specific qualification from an apprenticeship, registered college or university.
Competent with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Experience maintaining, installing, and repairing industrial equipment
Experience handling blueprints, specifications and schematics
Experience in a food or drink production facility
Experience developing maintenance schedules and managing budgets
Team leadership experience
