A Long Walk For Luca

What’s he (Henry) gonna look like with a barrel on him?

(A virtual high-five goes to whoever gets the reference.)

More importantly, our good friend Henry at Big Beer Co. in Bristol is walking from Bath to Bristol today, beginning at Bath Brew House and ending with a well-earned pint at Small Bar in Bristol. That’s 12.4 miles, which roughly translates to a brisk 4-hour walk.

But that’s not all! As this is for the Tree of Hope charity a walk isn’t enough. Not for Henry. On a bleary New Year’s Eve the idea was born to walk that stretch with a full 9 gallon (or 52kg) cask somewhere on his shoulders or wherever he can make room. Not your average luggage, eh? Luckily for him, he’s planned to stop at various bars along the way to break up the journey, so keep an eye out for him in the area. We assume he’ll be on the water.

We naturally wanted to help Henry on his quest so we brewed a rather special US Saison ‘Tiny Beaver’, which has been available at Urban Tap House the last few weeks. Henry loves it so much he made it his beer of choice for the journey, which will be available at the finish line aka Small Bar. The profit from every pint bought on the day will go towards children’s charity Tree of Life.

Henry’s target is £1000 so please help his cause by donating here https://www.justgiving.com/Henry-Revell/, and if you can make it, get to Small Bar to help the exhausted chap to his chair for a pint at the end.

See you there!
