Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Last week we unveiled our Tiny Responsibilities - the small things we can do to make the world a better place. One of the 5 commitments was to donate loads of time and money to charities, and support the great work they’re doing in our communities.

Well, in addition to that we’re climbing mountains. Literally.

Last year a small team of us embarked on a voyage to climb the 3 tallest peaks of Wales in one day, as part of the St. David’s Hospice Care Three Peaks of Wales Challenge. We nailed it, and although it was very tough, it was also very rewarding. And the views are amazing.

This year the whole Tiny Rebel team will be taking part in the Three Peaks of Wales challenge (we’re making it our summer staff do!), climbing Pen y Fan, Cadair Idris and Snowdon one after the other. We’re aiming to raise £4000 to contribute to the total goal of £35,000. And we want you to help us.

It’s all in support of St. David’s Hospice, one of our community partners since essentially day one of Tiny Rebel. It’s close to home in more ways than one - it’s only 5 miles from the brewery and provides hospice care for 3300 people with cancer and other terminal illnesses. According to Cancer Research UK, 1 in 2 people will develop cancer, meaning it is all but guaranteed to personally affect all of us. Nothing gets closer to home than that.

St. David’s Hospice Care does incredible work, and we want to support them in any way we can. On Friday just gone, we closed our brewery bar for the evening for a fundraising event for SDHC. And their Newport charity shop is in our video game Beer Money Inc.! Now we’re getting ready for what will be a big challenge in support of their work.

PLEASE support our efforts by donating to our JustGiving page, or you can go one better and join us in the challenge. If you sign a team up by April 6th, we’ll give you and your team a case of Cwtch.

We’d love for you to join us on the day - you’ll have a great time and see some of the best views of the glorious Welsh landscape (as long as it’s not foggy), and you’ll be supporting an incredible charity doing vital work that benefits every single person in our community in one way or another. If you can’t join us, then please sponsor Team Tiny Rebel and help fund the dedicated team at St. David’s Hospice Care.

See you up a mountain in June!
