Enter The Dragon

On the tail-end of our previous sponsorship, where we hosted the send-off for Ryan and Robert’s truly off-the-scales worldwide bike ride, we’re doing our bit for again for charity in a bid to slay climate change and cancer once and for all (that’s probably enough dragon-related puns for now before someone gets fired…).

We’re supporting The Dragon Wagon 2014 – a 10,000-mile journey to Mongolia in a less-than-ideal Toyota Yaris (complete with roof rack) to raise money for LATCH and Cool Earth – sounds like a sizeable but amazing task to us!

The Mongol Rally Team 2014 from South Wales is comprised of Victoria Griffiths, Gareth Griffiths and Will Morgan, who set off on 20th July and they’re all nuts. Have a read about the 10,000-mile rally here and tell us they’re sane! The crux of these rallies is to take the least suitable vehicle possible to achieve the impossible with. That’s driving in something so bad an MOT test wouldn’t recognise it as a car. These guys will be driving so far off-road that there’ll be quite literally nothing and no one near them. Picture that, if you can. No fuel supplies, no water supplies, no internet and no pub! Nightmare.

It promises to be an incredible adventure though, and one we’re proud to be a part of in our own way. We’re firmly stickered on the vehicle, so it’s got the Tiny Rebel ‘Seal of Madness’ approval and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Help them raise cash and reach their goal by visiting JustGiving. You can support LATCH hereCool Earth here; or both! It’s up to you. Follow them @TheDragonWagon and keep an eye on everyone else via the tracking system used to monitor Adventurists’ progress (one group is up in the Russian tundra on polar bears, for example).

We wish them a very safe ride and return indeed.
