Goodbye 2017. Hello 2018.

Well 2017, you were fun.

Why? Well...

We shifted production to our new brewery in January, launched our first ever cans in February, spent March on Trade Missions to the US and China, brewed Captain Insano in April, searched for our Biggest Fan in May, spent June putting finishing touches to our new home which we opened in July, rocked GBBF in August, rocked Brewfest in September, spent October touring Australia, launched new ciders and perries, plus our beer in the USA in November and we revealed our recent dealings with the Portman Group in December.

Aaaaand breathe...

It’s been one hell of a ride! A ride which has resulted in us doubling our 2016 annual production, employing 44 new rebels taking our overall number to 122 and buying a new 65,000 sqft plot across the road from the brewery to secure our future here in Newport.

So we were thinking - should we take 2018 easy? Fly under the radar and take time to relax? Pause and recuperate?

HELL NO.

First off, we’re seeing in the New Year with a big ol’ party at the brewery. We’ll start 2018 as we mean to go on, with beer, music, dancing, more beer, friends, family and a shit load of fun!

And as we do every year, we’ll be giving our core range a bit of a facelift.

tiny rebel can range

Our new-look core will be based around a perfect 6 pack of cans, with everything from hop-packed APA and our modern classic Cwtch, to a raspberry sour and a nitro porter packed with marshmallow!

This will be the perfect six pack for anyone wondering what “craft” beer is all about. Flavour, flavour and more flavour. This is what happens when adults are told to make a variety pack out of cereals and get to use their imaginations.

Cwtch, a modern classic; Cali, a hop-punch of an APA; Clwb Tropicana, a tropical thunder mouth explosion; Dutty, a super murky Vermont Session IPA; Frambuzi, a sour raspberry face twister; and Stay Puft, a nitro marshmallow porter that’s roasty and sweet.

These will all be available in keg too, so plenty to come from us on draught.

“What about cask?” we hear you cry. Fear not! We remain passionate defenders of cask ale.

Joining Cwtch in our core cask line-up will be Stay Puft and Dutty!

Stay Puft was originally released on cask earlier this year, but it has been so popular in keg and bottle, and we LOVE how smooth it is on cask, that it’ll be with us all year round.

Tiny Rebel Dutty

Dutty is INCREDIBLE on cask. A session-strength hoppy IPA, with incredible flavour from the biotransformation of hop matter and an irresistible murky look. No doubt we’ll be talking about whether or not cask ale should be crystal clear or not, but that’s all part of the conversations we should be having about beer. And it’s suitable for vegans!

Our range will be gradually evolving into this over the first quarter of the year. Keep an eye out!

As always, this doesn’t mean we won’t be releasing specials and seasonals. In fact, we actually have a calendar with what beers will be returning and when, and we’ve planned in new releases in groups several times over the course of the year.

Our bottling line will be dedicated to putting specials into small pack to ensure they get further and into the hands of more curious beer fans.

And finally a few teasers which we’ll tell you all about next year over a pint...

  • 11 Collabs

  • Our 6th Birthday Party. Save the date, Thurs 15th Feb.

  • Barrel Ageing Programme

  • More Stay Puft spin-offs

  • New Online shop with more merch than ever before!

  • A bit of work with our sister (well, brother) company Tiny Rebel Games

  • Tiny Rebel Brewery Running Club

  • A shit load of UK and international beer festivals

  • Something special in our new unit - apartments, laser tag, sharks with frickin’ lasers on their heads. Who knows?

  • And the one beer to end them all.

2017 has been our biggest year yet. 2018 is gonna be bigger.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.
