Our Mission...

We’re on a mission to bring you good times with a hint of beer.

We do this by creating beers that will capture your imagination and defy your senses.

When we’re not making awesome beer, we’re busy brewing up plans to better our people, community and planet.

One Love x

Who are Tiny Rebel?

We are Tiny Rebel, an award-winning brewery from Newport, South Wales.

We are the youngest and only Welsh brewery to win Champion beer of Britain. We are the only brewery to have won gold, silver and bronze in the Champion Beer of Wales competition (in our first year!) and the only brewery to defend a gold the following year.

SIBA Brewery Business of the Year and International Beer Challenge UK Brewer of the Year 2016.

But really, we’re just fans of super tasty beer.

Our History

From two guys in a garage to a bespoke brewery with thousands of fans, we’ve grown a lot since 2012.

Since then, every year has been bigger and better.

We're showing no signs of slowing down though! We've got countless projects on the go and some exciting stuff to show off soon!

The Bear Benefits

To celebrate their hard work and dedication we have launched our new staff benefits scheme - ‘BEAR BENEFITS’!

Thank you to the whole Tiny Rebel team for your unbeatable efforts day-in day-out, it couldn’t be done without you.

Tiny Timeline

2019

2019 saw us re-design all our cans, hit supermarkets and grow to a team of 137 rebels.

We brewed over 4 million pint of beer and put out 102 new beers. Our 7th birthday was one hell of a party with 100 tap takeovers across the country.

Towards the end of the year we began work on our new 30,000sqft distribution hub which is set to open mid 2020.

2018

From two guys in a garage to a bespoke brewery with thousands of fans, we’ve grown a lot since 2012.

Since then, every year has been bigger and better.

We're showing no signs of slowing down though! We've got countless projects on the go and some exciting stuff to show off soon!

2017

We began brewing at our new home in January 2017, and officially opened the new brewery in July.

Our dual stream, 30bbl brewhouse gives us a maximum capacity of 5million litres annually.

We invested heavily in packaging, with a new cask racker, German kegging machine and Italian bottling line. For the first time ever, we canned our beers, bringing an American canning line in-house.

But we quickly realised this place wouldn't be big enough, so in September we bought the plot across the road - doubling our footprint here at Wern and giving us plenty of space to grow into.

And we opened our doors to welcome you into our world. With tours and tastings, and an incredible bar on site, we're extremely proud to call this place home!

2016

We reached maximum capacity with no options for expansion. But that didn’t stop us. Still wanting to keep that creative spark alive, we promised to brew 30 new beers over the course of the year.

Our original brewhouse was put up for sale, in preparation for the next chapter in our story. We secured a site, got to the drawing board with our architects, and announced plans to move to a bespoke new brewery for 2017.

We hit 20 export destinations, brewed our 1000th Gyle, released a Cwtch homebrew kit, became main sponsor of the Newport Food & Drink Festival and then won two major awards - SIBA’s Brewery Business of the Year & the International Beer Challenge UK Brewer of the Year.

In August, we attended the Great British Beer Festival for the first time, with 8 cask lines on our bar. We became one of only a handful of breweries to have been invited to occupy part of the main bar, to sell out by Sunday.

2015

In May 2015, we opened a month-long pop-up bar in our home town of Newport, called Urban Pop-Up. Freshly made pizza, beers brewed just ten minutes away and that distinctive Tiny Rebel atmosphere brought something totally new to the city.

We made it three years in a row in the top three of the Champion Beer of Wales competition, with Hadouken taking Bronze.

But 2015 brought us something even more monumental.

We became the first brewery from Wales, and the youngest brewery ever to win Champion Beer of Britain, with Cwtch taking the top prize.

We brought Cardiff its first independent beer festival, inviting brewery friends from all over the UK to come and show Wales what they do. And in October, we opened our second permanent bar on the site of Urban Pop-Up.

2014

In March we collaborated with Hogan’s to launch our first cider, Rocksteady.

Then in April, we let our first lager Bo'Ho loose on the world.

Investments were made adding new fermenters, casks, software and staff, allowing us to level up the business.

Our fledgling bar Urban Tap House was beat strong opposition to be awarded a trophy from Shortlist Magazine for being the Best New Bar in Britain. In October, we won the Insider Media Made in Wales Food and Drink Award.

Oh, and between those two, we became the first brewery to defend their Champion Beer of Wales title at the Great Welsh Beer and Cider Festival.
