Goodbye Urban Tap House, Hello Tiny Rebel Bars

Hey all,

Exciting news! From next week Urban Tap House as a brand is being retired, and the bars will be re-branded as Tiny Rebel Cardiff / Newport.

Why? When the Cardiff bar was established it was never the intention for it to be run by and closely tied to the Brewery, so a separate identity made sense. But going forward this is changing and so instead of fighting to grow and differentiate Urban Tap as a brand, it makes a lot more sense to retire it and to have the pubs become fully Tiny Rebel.

With the new brewery site imminent, and the increased flexibility it will bring, we have an eye to the future of Tiny Rebel.

Our growing success and popularity of beers such as Cwtch and Clwb Tropicana meant that the brewery has been running at full capacity for the past 18 months which has heavily restricted our plans for new venues.

Now though, we can start seriously considering expansion. By bringing re-branding to the existing bars, we can now transport Tiny Rebel to new cities and, eventually, countries.

Nothing will change in the running of the bars, just some minor design mods, our special and seasonal beers will be making more of an appearance and i'm sure you'll be happy to know that Cwtch cask will from now on be a permanent fixture.

Finally, along with the bar rebrand we decided to give our own logo a bit of a freshen-up.
