Its 3 years to the day since we launched Tiny Rebel Brewing Co at a local village pub in Pontymister – The Commercial. And still to this day Mark, Jinnie and the team are serving up our beers week in week out and doing an awesome job of it. Looking at our launch event poster below brings back a lot of memories and to be honest it’s a design that we would quite happily change the date and venue on and reuse.
After the beer our designs, especially the bear, are questions we get asked about the most whether it’s at beer festivals or meet-the-brewer nights and they should be an easy question to answer, right? So we thought as it’s our 3rd Birthday we should take you on a little visual journey of how the Tiny Rebel bear was born.
The first stage of creating a logo is to chuck as many ideas as you can down and sieving through them for bits you like and don’t like. We loved the rat design at the time but thought it was a bit too ‘Banksy’.
Stage 2 is to focus on an idea and explore it. The coloured bears were far too cute!
The first-ever Tiny Rebel bear draft. It’s going to be worth a mint one day ; )
Bingo. So there you have it, Neil Buchanan eat your heart out!
Lots of love,
Team Rebel x
